How we met PK Subban
The video of the making of the coat:
He looked absolutely great in the coat and PK Subban was featured on many media channels about his style.
This coat was a bespoke order that we made just for him. To get a similar ready-to-wear coat as PK Subban's, you may order the Karl coat available is our Men's section.
As seen on:
"P.K. Subban knows how to arrive in style.
For the Canadiens’ big game against the Boston Bruins, Subban made his way into Gillette Stadium wearing a peach-colored plaid suit and dotted tie all under a rich burgundy coat with fur trim and matching wide-brim fedora.
He looks phenomenal.
NHL players aren’t known for being fashion forward but Subban is a delightful exception to the rule. The Winter Classic is a big game and Subban knows that you dress up for big games."
He augmented that with a similarly colored overcoat with a plush furlike collar and brown plaid suit.
"That was a fresh hat, fresh outfit. The whole outfit was fresh," Subban said. "I always want to make sure I look my best. I thought it was a pretty cool outfit.
"I just felt the color was probably something maybe somebody would have worn back in the day. The cut and maybe the style of the jacket and the suit are probably a little bit different. We didn't want to go too old school. We didn't want to go back to 1909. That's a little far aways back."
"Subban was making a statement with his personalized pair, given a vintage look to match the spirit of the game. As for the old-timey suit and hat Subban showed up in; what else would you expect from the guy who loves a big show more than anybody in hockey?"
There’s always an expectation that P.K. Subban will be the most impeccably dressed player before and after the game, but he said he upped his style game for the 2016 Winter Classic, where the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins, 5-1, on Friday at Gillette Stadium.
“I always like to make sure I look my best. I thought it was a pretty cool outfit,” he said.
“I just felt the color scheme was something that someone might have worn back in the day. The cut and the style of the jacket and the suit are a little bit different,” said Subban.
“We didn’t want to go too old school. We didn’t want to go back to 1909.”
That was off the ice. On the ice, Subban also had some unique style: New skates, from the mind of P.K. Subban.
